Best dinner… ever!
Howdy from Florida peeps!
So for those of you who didn’t know, I am currently in sunny FLORIDA (or rainy right now, wahhh) for a couple days! I’m helping my grandparents move and getting a bunch of really nice furniture in return! But sadly, this means no baking until I’m back on Friday. I know, I’m crying a little on the inside! Especially since I have so many things I’ve been dying to try!
But tonight when we got in, we came back to my grandparents house of 20 years… I’ve had some amazing memories in this place! We had some champagne, and then quickly went off to dinner at this bistro they love to celebrate mine and my grandmas birthdays (mine is the 5th, hers the 18th… I might be biased, but august is the best month)!!!
Now obviously I really appreciate baked delights, but I also really appreciate a well cooked meal, and let me tell you… This was THE BEST meal I have had in a really long time! So I’ll stop babbling and show you…
Apple Brandy Glazed Pork Chop with Sweet Potato, Asparagus & Brandy Soaked Apple!
OMG. Yummers. I’m still full and we ate 3 hours ago! Maybe because I couldn’t stop eating… Oopsies 🙂 but seriously, the sauce was absolutely amazing, and the pork was cooked PERFECTLY!!! i LOVE sweet potatoes and asparagus, so this was just amazing! Definitely a great meal after a long day of traveling (and less than average airport food.) They also had fantastic ciabatta bread (freshly baked… I might have eaten it all before I remembered to take a picture, sorry) served with two butters– red wine, and garlic chive… Yes, you read right. I was in foodie HEAVEN!
Now I do realize that this doesn’t have to do with baking OR being healthy, but since I’m gone until Friday, I figured I would keep y’all updated! And hopefully we’ll find some yummy desserts here in Florida! I’ll be sure to share if I find some good ones!
That’s all for now, it’s time to go into a food coma… Must run tomorrow!

A Dash of Sugar... 
You probably don’t know that porkchops are my favorite meal by a long shot, and that picture makes my mouth water on the spot! Awesome to hear we have similar tastes in music AND food! Haha!
On a sidenote, I also lived in Florida for about two years myself so enjoy it while you can!
Haha my favorite too, so crazy!!! You would have LOVED these… if you didn’t notice, I took a bite before I took the picture because it looked too good! And Florida was great, I wish we could have stayed longer 🙂 good thing I’m going back in January!
